How these tiers are worked out

Tiers come straight from each pal's work suitability level for that duty, which is the game's own rating — Lv 8-7 is S, Lv 6-5 is A, Lv 4-3 is B, Lv 2 is C and Lv 1 is D. Every group shows the level that placed it, so you can check any pal against the pal list. The thresholds are worked out from the roster rather than fixed, so they follow the game if a patch moves the ceiling. Pals tied on level are then ordered by food consumption, lower first — two pals doing the same job at the same rate are not equal when one costs more to keep fed. A pal with no recorded food cost is ranked last within its group rather than assumed free.

Rankings are computed from pal data scraped from the Palworld Wiki and recomputed on every re-scrape, so they follow the game rather than an editor's opinion. Pals we are missing data for are listed separately as unranked, never placed in the bottom tier.
